Terms and Conditions
1. My day rate is currently set at £250 per day minimum, £450 per day max. Price-per-project may be agreed in advance. Typcial rates are:
- £250 basic editing
- £300 new creative
- £350 in house work
- £400-450 specialist creative
2. A deposit of 50% is normally required before work commences.
3. By separate arrangement, projects may be paid for in three equal stages –
an initial deposit, a second “midway” payment, followed by the final sum upon completion.
4. No other payment schedule, other than per diem, is acceptable.*
5. All small sums (£500 and under) are to be paid in advance.
6. Expenses (eg travel), admin (eg phone and email time related to the project), and meeting time will be itemized and charged for by the hour. When billing for items by the hour, my hourly rate is £40 unless otherwise specified.
7. Any costs other than time (eg stock photographs, travel, subcontractor costs) will be billed separately unless included in a quoted price. Reciepts, timesheets, etc will be provided when requested.
8. All payment is to be paid via bank transfer or paypal unless otherwise agreed.
9. As a sole trader, I do not currently charge VAT.
10. Payment is due on receipt of invoice. Payment later than 28 days after invoicing may be considered actionable and interest charged according to the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) act 1998.
11. I retain the right to publish extracts of my work for the purposes of self-promotion (eg. in my portfolio), unless specifically prohibited by a signed non-disclosure agreement.
12. A contract will generally be signed before work is undertaken. When not working under specific contract, these terms and conditions apply to all work by default. Special conditions of contract may supercede these terms and conditions only by mutual agreement of both parties.
*Regular clients I have a good working relationship with are typically billed on account at the end of the month.
