@ Al: My boys and I were just talking about Tiger this weekend and the grief celebrity guys get for being dudes. Although I'm a Christian and would love to look up to some morally outstanding dude that has countless pairs of panties (and some male briefs) thrown at him and actually turns them down; I'm realistic and I know that even the greatest succomb at some point.
Shocking would have been a number of women saying that Tiger denied their advances and stuck to his wife.
When has any celebrity signed on to their craft to be a moral figure? Anyone? Anyone? That's what I thought. It's always been about money and always will be. It's about playing the sport, or making the music, or posing for the pics, or selling the ad, etcetera, etcetera.
Even in my arena full of Bible toting, scripture reciting, motivational tweeting, inspirational blogging guys I wouldn't be shocked to hear of a "scandal." Sympathetic, concerned, prayerful, yes. Shocked...never.
@ Tiger: follow Al's advice. shake the dust off and get back in the game, son. You're never gonna live it down. So live.
@ Saptarshi: Good point

I agree. It is no more shocking than the media's attempt to make a mountain out of it.
