I guess you’re the target market for Scribe – a skilled writer, but not a ‘pro’ user — someone who wants reassurance about the SEO quality of their posts. 30 cents a review seems like a fairly steep price to me because as a pro user it doesn’t tell me a lot I don’t know but even as a pro I’d probably pay between $50 a month for unlimited reports without blinking an eye — it’s a good product and it’s good to have someone to double-check your work. Heck, I might even consider paying $100, if I find myself using it after the first month.

But I can’t get over the “pay per click” feeling Scribe has at the minute.

I guess it’s a bit like paying more per month for 1000 free minutes on my phone’s carrier plan. It’d probably work out cheaper for me to go on a lower tariff, but psychologically I like the thought that I’ve more or less got “unlimited” minutes per month that I’ll never go over. I could see myself going over 300 reports very quickly. I’ve got about 50 landing pages to write this week alone!

I’ll be subscribing to Scribe this month, because I’ve got some serious SEO-critical work to do. I’ll let you know if I’m still using it next month…
